AI Upskilling Program

Understand AI. Use It Confidently. Stay Ahead.

Artificial Intelligence is no longer optional — it’s already shaping how we work, decide, and compete. But between hype, fear, and misinformation, many professionals are left unsure where to start or how to use AI responsibly.

Our AI Upskilling Programme is designed to cut through the noise and give you clarity, confidence, and practical skills — no technical background required.

This programme consists of two focused, complementary courses:

  • an Introductory Foundations course to understand AI properly

  • a hands-on Practical course to apply AI safely and effectively

You can attend either course individually or combine both for the complete AI learning experience.

Course 1: AI Foundations, Ethics & the Regulatory Landscape

Build a Clear, Confident Understanding of AI

(Introduction / Theory)

This course strips away the jargon and demystifies Artificial Intelligence. You’ll gain a clear, realistic understanding of how AI works, what it can (and cannot) do, and the responsibilities that come with using it.

Perfect for professionals who want to:

  • understand AI without becoming technical

  • make informed decisions rather than relying on hype

  • stay compliant and future-ready

What you’ll learn
  • What AI really is (and isn’t)
Understand AI as a machine-based system driven by data, algorithms, and statistics — including the difference between traditional AI and Generative AI (GenAI).

  • Myths vs reality
Why AI isn’t conscious, why it doesn’t “think,” and why AI is now accessible to organisations of all sizes.

  • Why data matters
Learn how data trains AI models and why data quality directly affects outcomes.

  • How AI learns and produces results
A simple explanation of AI models, training, and outputs.

  • AI and the law: The EU AI Act
A clear overview of the EU’s risk-based framework, from minimal to unacceptable risk.

  • Opportunities and risks
Boosting productivity through automation — while understanding risks like hallucinations and bias.

  • The future of work
Why human skills such as judgment, empathy, and critical thinking are becoming more valuable, not less
    .

Course 2: AI in Action – Literacy, Evaluation & Practical Tooling

Use AI Safely, Critically, and Effectively

(Practical / Application)

This interactive, hands-on course is designed for participants ready to use AI — not just talk about it. It builds real-world skills you can apply immediately at work or in daily life.

Ideal for anyone who wants to:

  • avoid being misled by AI-generated content

  • protect themselves from AI-powered scams

  • improve productivity using AI tools

What you’ll do

  • Spot AI fakes
Learn to identify deepfakes and AI-generated images by spotting subtle visual clues and inconsistencies.

  • Outsmart AI-powered scams
Detect voice cloning scams and AI-written phishing emails, such as suspicious domains and hyperlink tricks, using practical red-flag techniques.

  • Evaluate AI outputs critically
A hands-on analysis of real-world bias in recruitment, medical reporting, and news generation. Participants will engage in fact-checking exercises to identify "source hallucinations".

  • The Human-in-the-Loop Case Study
Evaluating a high-risk insurance claim scenario to determine where human oversight must intervene to prevent discrimination and ensure transparency and accountability.

  • Master prompting and tooling
Learn a professional prompting framework (Role, Task, Context, Constraints) and explore how to chain tools like ChatGPT and Canva — plus basic automation using platforms like Make.
