LW: Corporate and Business Law

Overview:

The aim of the exam is to develop knowledge and skills in the understanding of the general legal framework, and of specific legal areas relating to business, recognising the need to seek further specialist legal advice where necessary.

Corporate and Business Law (LW-MLA) is a Maltese variant exam which covers:

• the overall legal system of Malta such as the court system and sources of law, including human rights legislation

• the law of obligations including contracts and tort, which underpin business transactions generally.

• Employment law

• Companies law

• Corporate fraudulent and criminal behaviour.
